| So, do you remember your first computer? Maybe you are still using it...
was it laptop? notebook? desktop?
which operative system had?
Was it fast or slow?
Floppy disks?
etc... etc...
x3 let's talk about our chunky boxes memories...

| That must have been pretty disappointing and frustrating, tunescool. >.<
My first computer was all right by its time, it used floppy disk, and I couldn't use USB because I needed driver to install them, I don't remember if it had Windows 95 or windows 98, I think it had the older OS and we updated it to Windows 98 SE. It was fun, but I didn't know much of the online benefits. I mostly played with Office, making power point presentations, if my memory is not overlapping again, hahah.

| That's a big one, hahah.
I've never seen one as big as what you describe, unless i am being naive and you are exaggerating it, but I know there was a time with computers that big, so It didn't sound out of place.

| I wasn't being literal. But it was a really big one. Like, one of those ones the size of a box.

| My bad. Yeah, I get what you mean now. I had a fat monitor for a while and I would still have if it wasn't for a friend that passed over a slim one for me. It was pretty sweet of her.

| I'm still using my first computer. ;) It is going on 8 years, I believe, and still works. Thankfully. I don't know what I would do if this thing went down. I will probably have a funeral for it.Lol.
The monitor is huge. It is like the size of a TV and the tower is pretty huge too. This computer can not run any games from like the last 5 years probably. My brother told me it doesn't have a graphics card that's why.
I wish I knew something about computers when I bought it, and I can tell you, I would have never purchased this thing if I knew.

| My first computer was a commodore 64. I was soooo excited the day I was able to get a tower computer that had Windows 3 installed on it. Man, that thing was sweeeeeeet! Off topic: I still have the Atari console I had back then and it still works. I have on a shelf under my television my Atari, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, PlayStation and PlayStation 3. Sort of a walk through time

| You guys are so lucky you got to own those old good ones, I have never been able to see one physically. I still think Windows 95 was the first computer I had contact with, it was very slow. I think we still have it working as a secondary computer. I am not sure if we upgraded it or not, but we bought another one with Windows 98 and for it we got the Second Edition a bit later on. I don't think the old one fulfilled the requirements, but I remember I'd try to browse anyway and flashes would be awful the sound all right but the video in such a low motion that it was not funny (well, itw as funny to me when I had nothing else to do with my day as teen). - Quote :

That's pretty cool! I actually have memories of the Atari. I never had the chance with Sega but we'd love to find the MegaDrive sometime. It is really cool you got their place on that shelve. :]

| It was an old desktop with windows 95. Crappy crappy crappy. It had a printer which took the old school office paper with the little cut out circles down the sides, sounded like a chainsaw when it printed. It was so nice when we got our XP PC.

| It was an assembled desktop, my uncle is an expert in it, we went to the market, bought the hard ware, accessories etc. and then my uncle assembled it and installed Windows OS, I was quite happy at that time. Now I'm using the second laptop already, hehe.

| I remember my first computer vividly. It was an e-Machines desktop and it lasted for a really long time. I loved that thing a lot but it eventually became obsolete and I had to upgrade. lol
