INGREDIENTS

1¼ cups (310mL) water
1 tablespoon Flora® Salt Reduced Spread
190g packet Continental® Chicken Rice Value Pack
1 carrot, sliced
½ cup corn kernels
½ cup peas
1 cup chopped cooked chicken, skin removed

DIRECTIONS

Bring water and Flora® Spread to the boil in a medium saucepan.
Stir in contents of Continental® Chicken Rice packet, carrot, corn, peas and chicken. Cover and cook gently for 10 minutes.
Stir well, replace lid and allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Hint: 25 minutes to cook, this easy rice dish is great for busy days. Serve with a tossed green salad for a balanced meal.

I like it because it is a way to make a filling meal when you have few ingredients. Mixed with the rice makes for a tasty dish. A neighbour used to prepare rice this way, so I have good memories of this dish.
