Quote :
Akatsuki Denkou Senki(or Akatuski Blitzkampf) Is a 2-D Versus Doujinshi Fighting game released on April 30th, 2007 and developed by SUBTLE STYLE. The game is set notably in a fictional future involving several characters that roughly resemble the German soldiers of the World War II era, among others (hence the nicknames of 'JEWPUNCHER, 'Blitzjew,' and related variations thereof given to the game by many of the players in the US community). Ingame visuals supplement this sort of specific militaristic theme and environment, portrayed by the flat, cubism-esque character portraits and story sequence images. Blitzkampf is also a follow-up to a previous SUBTLE STYLE release from 2003 called Akatsuki Shisei Ichigo, involving many of the characters from the current game.

In terms of Blitzkampf's playstyle, it is regarded that it feels relatively 'old-school' in comparison to many of the other doujin fighter releases, as many of the systems and conventions in the game are rather similar to several late 90's era fighting games created by Capcom. A specific example many players allude to is the parry system, resembling the ones from the Street Fighter III installments. The gratuitous amount of extra modes (such as Survival, Time Attack, or SUGOROKU) the game provides and how they are unlocked is largely reminiscent of a console release of an arcade fighting game, further reinforcing the semi-retro feel.

This is a pretty damn kickass fighting game for the PC.
You will probably have to look around the internet for a free version of this game(You can get for free if you look around, enough)

There is a roster of 9 characters in the game, with 3 unlockable ones(one requires a patch in order to unlock)

There is a crapload of unlockables in this game like a time attack mode, a surivial mode, a version of Arcade that is even harder than the difficulty you are allowed to change it too.

There is also a board game-like mode you can unlock called "Sugoroku", with stuff like random fights, minigames where you mut dodge stuff and such.
There is even a color-edit mode you can use, if you get the latest patch.

The controls are simplistic, too.

The control are 3 buttons a, b, c
Pressing a+b allows you to do a throw
Pressing b+c and (on certain characters), will allow you to do a super
Pressing b+c by itself will do a parry. (some characters have knockback on their parries)
Pressing a+b+c with 3 stocks of power allows you to do their most powerful super
A cancels into B and B cancels into C(what else would you expect)

You can even use a USB gamepad with this game too.

Go head and have your discussion here.

Well it is not like MVC.

If you read the explaination at the top, the game's playstyle is similar to the old Capcom fighting games of the 90's.

If you want to know more about the game, feel free to check out my forum(even though I haven't posted much topics related to this game XD )

It looks pretty cool, but it doesn't look like the kind of game I would normally play.

Thanks for the explanation though.
