What's your criteria to select staff?
Do you need to have them been previously in your boards for months?
Experience in the charge?
Do you put them to test?

My criteria is:
-they have to be a good member and get along with others
-They have to be active enough
-I would rather them have experience but it isn't a must
-They have to be able to be reliable and trustworthy
-They have to be equal with everyone.

That's about all I can think of.

Well I use to go to admin type forums to get staff, but, at least for me, that has never worked out well. It seems like people get tired of it in a week and want to leave.

I'm going to start having members who have posted a long time on my board to offer them a position. Already they are dedicated to the forum so them leaving shouldn't be a problem. Also it is a plus that I know them instead of hiring some random person. I don't think I would hire staff until I really needed them also.
