Some years ago I would said Ocarina fo Time, hands down. That game marked me. I am not saying it is the best Zelda game, just saying it was my favourite. the moments it gave me , the immersion for first time and my definitive return as a videogamer are too strong to shrug off. It is hard not to be biased and in a way embellish in your mind even more the game. I remeber in the polls OoT vs MM I always rooted for OoT.
Now I root for MM, because I have found it plays with my emotions even more and I felt it was an underated game. I don't feel it underated anymore to be honest. Now it is the wagon of cool to like it, it seems like now preple crave it, which is good in its own way, but it is sad how sometimes it takes a decade or more to have games being liked.
Will Twilight princess make a comeback in ten years like one of the best udnerated Zelda games? Can't tell now.
After my OoT phase, I found more and more difficult to settle with a definitive favourite, much less a top of my favourite Zelda games, each has a little something, or a big something taht makes them stand out by themeselves and I crave for them at diiferent times.
Currently I am playing Skyward Sword, and I think it will be my new favourite, but I will tell you for sure, once I am done
