Back then I didn't know any difference. But when I was around 8 years old, ranma 1/2 started being aired and it sure was different to other cartoons, yet Ihad no idea they had a different name.

I only learned the term anime when i reached 15 years old. I was a bit too slow, eh?

My first anime was Gundam Wing =) OH YEAHS.

I felt it was different because of the fact that it was much darker and full of mechs! Oh yeahs..lol
